Kids Cooking Class: 8-11 Year Olds
Our Kids Cooking Classes are back for kids who love to cook or want to learn! Aspects of this class include a focus on planning healthy menus, sourcing seasonal foods & the importance of food safety. On the menu for this class are homemade scones, freezer strawberry rhubarb jam, homemade chicken fingers, sauces & deviled eggs. It's almost the 4th of July and we are going to celebrate with red, white and blue foods! Join the Nutrition Education Advisor from Penn State Extension for a hands on and delicious workshop! During this workshop, we will discuss fresh food sourcing, food safety preparation and enjoy making (and tasting) some delicious kid friendly, grown up approved, summer treats!
