Bloomsburg University Sculpture Walk

Bloomsburg University’s Department of Art and Art History maintains a diverse permanent art collection with works displayed throughout campus in many of the academic, administrative, and residence facilities. The collection represents a vital resource enriching the aesthetic and cultural climate of Bloomsburg University. Since the collection began in 1962, over 500 works have been placed on public view. Works of art in the permanent collection have been acquired from individuals, bequests, and donors, as well as grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, The Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, and The Childe Hassam Fund of The American Academy of Arts and Letters. For more information about the permanent art collection at Bloomsburg University, please visit the Department of Art & Art History’s website.

The University is fortunate to possess a considerable number of large scale outdoor works installed on campus. The pieces selected for The Sculpture Walk project represent a variety of mediums, techniques, styles, and themes, and includes examples of two dimensional works chosen for their particular importance and accessibility.

The University Sculpture Walk was officially unveiled in October of 2017 with a print brochure and official Sculpture Walk mobile app.  To download the mobile app and get started on the Sculpture Walk, please search “BU Sculpture Walk” in your app store or use the QR code.
