Storytime Adventures: Solar Spectactular

Calling all budding astronomers, it’s time for another installment of Storytime Adventures! Join the Traveling Library, Bloomsburg Children’s Museum, and the Columbia County Family Center at Rohrbach’s Farm Market, Bakery, and Loft on Monday, April 8th from 1 PM – 3 PM as we explore solar science in celebration of the Total Solar Eclipse happening the very same day! Families will hear stories, recite rhymes, and sing songs before exploring activity centers focused on solar science, light/shadows, and space! We can’t wait to see all our friends for some solar fun on the farm! Bring the whole family and experience this astronomical phenomenon together!

This event is free and open to the public. Thanks to the funding from the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation and the Space Science Institute, the Traveling Library will have 1,000 solar eclipse glasses to distribute through the Solar Eclipse Activities for Libraries (SEAL) program. Glasses will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis at the registration table and families must sign a waiver. In the event, we hand out the full 1,000 glasses, families will have the opportunity to create alternate viewers. We also encouraged to share with friends!
