The Columbia County Conservation District and the Roaring Creek Valley Conservation Association are partnering to bring you “Composting Towards a Climate Solution” Workshop. Rohrbach’s Farm will host the workshops where a limited number of composting bins will be distributed to participants. Residents of Columbia County are invited to attend and will receive an overview of the benefits of composting and best composting practices. There is a $5 registration fee, and participants must attend the entire workshop to receive a bin. Each household may attend only one session, and early registration is encouraged as bins are limited. Financial and other support for the “Composting Towards a Climate Solution” Workshop has been provided by the Department of Environmental Protection’s Environmental Education Grants Program.
