Maple sugaring is a truly North American tradition and a long-time family favorite activity at Montour Preserve. Join the Montour Area Recreation Commission’s staff and volunteers for presentations on the natural and cultural history of maple sugaring. We’ll follow the sugaring process from sap to syrup in this interesting family experience.
Visitors will be directed to the sugar shack along the Goose Woods Trail where they will learn about the cultural and natural history of maple sugaring and have the opportunity to experience the sights, sounds, smells, and tastes of maple sugaring.
Please note: only service dogs are allowed at the Montour Preserve. Please leave all pets at home.
Admission: Free (donations accepted)
