The Montour Area Recreation Commission (MARC) will be coordinating a Montour County countywide parks cleanup day on Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 9am – 12pm. This event will include all parks and trails under MARC’s management, as well as other publicly-accessible locations.
Locations: Montour Preserve, Hess Recreation Area, Hopewell Park, North Branch Canal Trail, North Branch Susquehanna River access locations, Chillisquaque Creek access locations, and Washingtonville Borough (tentative).
This event will be conducted rain or shine. Participants should dress for the weather and wear sturdy footwear (no sandals or other open toed shoes), long pants, and gloves.
Safety vests will be provided to all participants. A limited number of pairs of gloves will be available.
All participants will be required to sign a volunteer participant acknowledgment and release form before beginning work.
This event is being conducted in partnership with the 2023 Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful / Pick Up Pennsylvania program and the Susquehanna Greenway Cleanup.
