Before our local black bears tuck themselves in for winter hibernation, let’s learn more about this intelligent species. Pennsylvania Game Wardens Jake Klinger and Justin Faus will entertain us with fun facts as well as inform us about diseases, how the Game Commission gathers data on the species, and how to handle human-bear conflicts.
The black bear population has rebounded in PA from its low in the 70’s, so it’s quite likely you’ll someday have a close encounter with a bear. This presentation will help you be more informed and better prepared.
