Theatre in the Classroom proudly presents a free, public preview performance of Discovering Frederick Douglass: The Remarkable Life of a National Leader by Gabe Moses and directed by Avery LaMar Pope. Discovering Frederick Douglass: The Remarkable Life of a National Leader aims to enhance local schools’ lessons about American history by giving students an immersive learning experience. The play follows the life of the great American abolitionist’s life, from his beginnings as an enslaved person to his rise as a trailblazing writer, newspaper publisher, officeholder, and orator during the 19th-Century Civil Rights Movement.
