At the invitation of the Montour County Historical Society, local author Robert Andrews will hold a farewell book sale and signing in the parlor of the Montgomery House, 11 Bloom Street, Danville, of his novella, “A Susquehanna Tale.” This parlor features prominently as the setting for the remembrances of William Montgomery and his friend, frontiersman Alexander Tennant. This special event will take place from 1- 2 PM on Saturday, May 3. There is no entrance fee for this book signing. The cost of the book is $15, with half of the proceeds going to support the work of the Montour County Historical Society. Access to Montgomery House will be restricted to the parlor. Those interested in the tour of the Montgomery House and Boyd House museum are invited to visit it on Sunday afternoons from 1 to 4 PM. For the Sunday tours, there is a $10 fee for non-members, children under 18 years of age are free
