MARC Montour County Countywide Parks Cleanup Day

The Montour Area Recreation Commission (MARC) will be coordinating a Montour County countywide parks cleanup day on Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 9am – 12pm. This event will include all parks and trails under MARC’s management, as well as publicly-accessible locations in Washingtonville Borough and the North Branch Susquehanna River.

Time: 9:00am – 12:00pm
Locations: Montour Preserve, Hess Recreation Area, Hopewell Park, North Branch Canal Trail, Washingtonville Borough, and North Branch Susquehanna River (river levels permitting)
COVID-19 safety protocols will be enforced. Masks will be required when participants cannot maintain at least six feet of separation from other participants who are not members of their household.
This event will be conducted rain or shine. Participants should dress for the weather and wear sturdy footwear (no sandals or other open toed shoes), long pants, and gloves.
Safety vests will be provided to all participants. A limited number of pairs of gloves will be available.
All participants will be required to sign a volunteer participant acknowledgment and release form before beginning work.
Pre-registration for this event is strongly encouraged.
This event is being conducted in partnership with the Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful program.
