Danville Heritage Festival, Tah Gah Jute DAR Chapter & Riverside Borough Council invite you to join us as we dedicate a park and historic marker in honor of Revolutionary War Patriot Captain Jacob Gearhart. Program will highlight the contributions of Gearhart during and after the American Revolution. Gearhart was instrumental in securing boats for Washington’s Troops to cross the Delaware in December 1776. After the war he operated the earliest ferry between Danville & Riverside, contributing to commerce & the development of this region. Dedication is part of the DAR America 250th Celebration and the Danville Heritage Festival.
