2017 Danville Heritage Festival

This year’s Danville Heritage Festival will be held in and around Danville on July 14th-16th, 2017.  It will be a unique celebration of the region’s heritage.  The event will be centered around the Hess Field complex in Danville and will feature living history demonstrations, speakers, and live music throughout the day. In addition to the events taking place at the Hess Field complex, there will be speakers hosted by the Thomas Beaver Library at the library as well as at other locations.  All of these events will be free and open to all ages.

On Saturday, there will be a gun exhibit as well as a cast-iron exhibit.  In the evening, there will be fireworks over the Susquehanna River.  There will also be competitive tennis tournaments, a quoits tournament, a 5K walk and run, and more.  These events may require an entry fee.

During this year’s Danville Heritage event, be sure to head over to the Hess Field Pavilion between 11:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M. on Saturday for a picnic lunch served by local elected officials. Members of the Danville Borough Council will be cooking up some hotdogs and hamburgers for your enjoyment and be on hand to discuss any borough issues or concerns you may have. It’s a great chance to grab some food, meet your ward’s representatives, and chat about our wonderful community!
