Anything Can Happen at BTE’s ‘White Rabbit Red Rabbit’

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Generally in professional theatre, actors, directors, and production staff spend more than six weeks preparing for a show. BTE’s next show throws all that out the window with White Rabbit Red Rabbit by Iranian playwright Nassim Soleimanpour. Each night will feature a different professional actor being handed a sealed envelope containing the unseen script. From there, anything can happen! The show teeters between comedy and drama, and is not particularly political. Bravely taking the stage will be BTE’s Education Director Abigail Leffler and Resident Acting Company member Elizabeth Dowd, last seen as the narrators in this season’s A Christmas Carol, and Resident Acting Company member Amy Rene Byrne, last seen in The Christians. Leffler will perform on January 12th, Byrne on January 13th, and Dowd on January 14th. The New York run featured actors such as Nathan Lane, Wayne Brady, and F. Murray Abraham.

As each actor is only permitted to perform this show once, this limited engagement is for three nights only, January 12th, 13th, and 14th at 7:30pm! Tickets are $30, with discounted tickets for seniors, young professionals, and students. In celebration of our 45th Season, we are offering two regular tickets for $45, a savings of $15! Patrons can take advantage of this by using code ’45for45′ online, or mentioning it on the phone. Bloomsburg University students are just $9 with a valid BU ID. Call the Box Office at 570-784-8181 or purchase tickets online at www.bte.org.
