We are opening the Boyd House Museums on Sundays April 11th. We will be limiting number of visitors in each room and requiring masks.
The Montgomery House is federal style stone house built by William Montgomery of Chester County in the late 18th century, standing on the corner of Bloom and North Mill Streets in Danville. The Boyd House was built in the early 1880s by Daniel Montgomery Boyd, grandson of Daniel Montgomery and great grandson of William Montgomery, founder of Danville. Admission is $5 a person. Members of the MCHS and Children under 18 are free.
The Mooresburg One Room Schoolhouse Museum is open by appointment by calling Jean at 570-275-3690 or Lynn at 570-275-7875. Admission to the Schoolhouse is $2 a person. Members of the MCHS and Children under 18 are free.
