This class is for ages 7 – 10 who are independent workers ready to learn in the kitchen! Sharon Kerstetter, certified Family Consumer Science teacher will engage kids in baking fresh strawberry ice cream, homemade chocolate brownies and strawberry freezer jam. This class is designed to introduce kids to selecting fresh, local ingredients, and identifying healthy foods. Students will also learn about kitchen safety and cleanliness. Kids will come home with recipes and a great start to making homemade food and a pint of freezer jam.
