Beyond the Barre

Begin the day with a company ballet class, followed by an information session on pointe shoes – anatomy of the shoe and how it fits the foot, modifications, sewing tricks, and more. In the afternoon, advanced students may wear their pointe shoes, and all students will learn strengthening exercises designed to enhance their technique and prepare them for pointe shoes. The day will conclude with learning excerpts and variations from several classical story ballets.
