Spend a beautiful fall day at the iconic Twin Covered Bridges, the Josiah Hess Covered Bridge, and the Stillwater Covered Bridge in Columbia County, Pennsylvania as we celebrate the newly-painted picnic tables on the bridges, each featuring spectacular scenes of the great outdoors.
The Columbia County Covered Bridge Association, The Exchange, and the Columbia-Montour Visitors Bureau commissioned local artists to create the picnic table murals.
Many of the artists who painted tables will attend the event with more of their artwork available for browsing and purchasing, and other vendors will join them. Take some time to view the new additions to the bridges and help yourself to some tasty local food truck fare while you’re there; the Twins will also host beer vendors, Josiah Hess will have local wineries, and Stillwater will host the dessert vendors.
While visiting the Josiah Hess Bridge, attendees can walk through the covered bridge and reach Forks Farm Market, which will host their regular market that day: Plan to visit the farmers and vendors there to make some fresh produce purchases.
Back at the Twins, John Sweeney will play music throughout the day, and at Stillwater you’ll find Lorraine and Joe Feola, the Raven Creek Bluegrass band.
Bathrooms will be available at the Twin Bridges. Please stick with all CDC guidelines re COVID.
We can’t wait to see everyone at the celebration in support of the preservation and restoration of the county’s treasured covered bridges!
