This free showing will give you a glimpse, and you can see his works in person at the Frazetta Art Museum in East Stroudsburg.
Frank Frazetta, born on the 9th day of February, 1928 in Brooklyn, New York, discovered the wonders of drawing at a very young age. Throughout his lifetime, he had created some of the most iconic pieces of fantasy art, and continues to inspire people even today. The Art of Frank Frazetta has touched, influenced and inspired generations of artists, fans, designers, and movie directors for over 60 years. His fabulous fabled career started in the early 1940s, from drawing the Famous Funnies comics for EC, comic works, to book covers featuring Edgar Rice Burroughs Tarzan. Pellucidar, and John Carter of Mars, now a major motion picture. Some of the most famed work of Frazetta realized Robert E. Howard’s novels entitled, “Conan the Barbarian,” to one of the largest and most successful franchises in the world today. Molly Hatchet, the famous southern rock band, licensed his art for 3 of their successful album covers during the 1970s.
Hundreds of millions of dollars have come from book sales and film that used or inspired the creation of Frank Frazetta’s incredible artwork. His magical ability to inspire and influence another young aspiring artist’s imagination continues around the globe, opening doors for thousands of future artists, sculptors and filmmakers.
He was the master of making the unbelievable believable!!! His women were voluptuous, his men were muscular and heroic, while his villains and monsters had generations of teens afraid to go to bed. He created an endless world of fantasy figures that will continue to inspire us and ask for more. It continues to spawn recent stories, attire, statues and films that will create wealth for all that incorporate Frank Frazetta’s incredible art within their merchandise and films.
